The Department of Dentistry was established in 2022-2023 based on the urgent needs in Al-Anbar province. Al-Ma’arif University College took it upon itself to establish the department in the college, after conducting special studies on this project and what the new department requires, in terms of material and human capabilities.
Based on the instructions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the ministry’s approval was obtained to create the department according to decision No. 4274 to accept middle school graduates – Scientific and Biological Branch – in the department according to the acceptance regulations. After five years of successful study, the department grants a bachelor’s degree in dentistry. The college has been keen to attract lecturers who are specialized in dental sciences, who are recognized by their competence, scientific and research ability to be lecturers in the department.
On the other hand, the college has focused on preparing the department with devices, equipment, and necessary materials to manage the educational process in the department in the correct manner, in order to provide the students of the department
with the required skills to prepare them for community service.
