In a step that is the first of its kind and with confident steps for the Department of Al-Maarif University College, in the context of its relentless pursuit to reach the heights of knowledge, the department has initiated an approach to law departments in academic institutions in the governorate and has presented a proposal to conduct a competition for the implementation of a simulation of a virtual criminal court, after the College of Law – University of Fallujah, that proposal, and was enthusiastic about it, so the stage of implementing the idea was moved to reality, and indeed, on the morning of Wednesday 25 th May 2022, two criminal lawsuits took place, one of which was a team representing students of the third stage of the law department
in the college, and the role of the other was represented by the other students from Department of Law – University of Fallujah under Considered by an arbitration panel consisting of Professor Judge Salah Mikhlif Al-Alwani, Professor Judge Ahmed Khalil Al-Hadithi, and Professor Mahmoud Ismail Al-Khatib. The arbitral tribunal expressed its appreciation for the efforts of the students and praised them for their level. He expressed the observations recorded
by the jury on the performance of the students for both teams and gave his advice to them.
Concerning the observance of the legally stipulated procedures announcing the degree estimated by the commission for both teams, which ended the competition in favor of the law students team – University of Fallujah, although the real victory was achieved for both teams through their ability to stand in a recognized forum to embody what they learned on the ground.
Before the conclusion, appreciation certificates were distributed to the participating teams and members of the jury, and awarding the winning team the award the competition.
