On Wednesday, 7th June 2023, Dr. Messa Ali Abd Al-khaliq at Al-Maarif University College – Department of Pharmacy participated in the International Conference of Spiritual and Moral Education of Girls in Traditional Family Values – Relevance and Urgency, which was held by the Regional Public Organization (Women is the Heritage of the Nation) of the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry on the Zoom programme, with the entitled lecture (Spiritual and Ethical Education of Iraqi Girls in Traditional Family Values: Significance, Suitability, and Impact on Building and Advancing the Iraqi Society).
The Conference addressed the following topics:
- Girl’s role as mother and wife of the future and the privacy of education.
- The role of educational work in educational institutions: schools and universities.
- Guidance. The importance of a unified alliance between parents and teachers.
- The family in the modern world experience different countries, problems and solutions.
- RPO project “Women’s Heritage of the Nation” Noble Maidens Modern Institute: Features and Significance Today.
It demonstrated the role of Iraqi women in building and developing Iraqi society and that the spiritual and moral education of Iraqi girls in traditional family values is of great importance in building and developing Iraqi society and contributes to the consolidation of moral and spiritual values and the formation of the personality of individuals. Spiritual and moral education must be compatible with traditional family values and be based on ethical and spiritual concepts commensurate with the requirements of Iraqi society.
These values must be part of Iraq’s public education, and efforts to promote these values in Iraqi society must be encouraged despite all the challenges and difficulties faced by Iraqi women, including tribal and religious challenges, gender discrimination and domestic violence.
