On Monday, August 18, 2025, Department of Engineering Technology at University of Al-Maarif organized a scientific seminar titled (Modern Operating Room Devices and Hybrid Operating Theaters), in cooperation with Al-Itqan Company, the exclusive agent of Siemens in Iraq, along with Getinge, a leading German company in operating room and intensive care equipment, aimed to enhance students’ awareness of their future role in serving the healthcare sector, reaffirming the University of Al-Maarif’s commitment to building strong partnerships with reputable institutions to prepare a qualified generation of engineers capable of meeting the challenges of the job market. This seminar reflected the University’s pioneering role in providing an innovative scientific environment that connects academic knowledge with practical applications, given by Head of the Human Resources Department at the company Engineer Ahmed, discussing a scientific lecture with the participation of the department’s rapporteur and several students, addressing the critical role of engineers in operating and managing medical devices in operating rooms.
