On Wednesday, August 20, 2025, College of Pharmacy at University of Al-Maarif organized a teaching seminar on the fundamentals of scientific research given by Dr. Abd Al-Salam Qahtan Ahmed, Assistant Dean of the College. The seminar, which aimed to guide students in preparing their graduation projects, targeted the college’s students in general, with particular focus on fifth-year students. The seminar covered several essential aspects, including defining the research problem, formulating clear objectives, selecting appropriate methodologies, collecting and analyzing data, and documenting sources. The lecturer emphasized that the primary purpose of scientific research is to provide practical solutions to real problems, highlighting the necessity for every researcher to master the fundamentals to conduct comprehensive research that meets its objectives and contributes positively to society. At the end of the seminar, the discussion was opened for students to ask questions and raise inquiries, which helped clarify scientific concepts and supported them in determining precise topics for their graduation projects. The students actively participated, affirming the valuable insights they gained for shaping the outlines of their future research. This seminar reflects the College’s ongoing commitment to supporting its students and equipping them with the necessary research skills to achieve academic success and graduate with a strong scientific foundation.
