On Monday, 7th October 2024, University of Al-Maarif achieved advanced places in the second Baghdad International Marathon for lecturers and students, which was held at University of Baghdad, with participation of more than 600 participants from inside and outside Iraq.
The lecturers from the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Yousif Ahmed Tawfiq, won second place, and the lecturer Abu Bakr Mohammed Sakr won seventh place in the category of lecturers, and the students achieved advanced positions.
This participation came within the policy of the sports activities and extracurricular cooperation pursued by the University with academic institutions.
