On Thursday 9th January 2025, the Department of English Language – College of Education at University of Al-Maarif held an academic workshop entitled (Difficulties Students Have in Inferring Meaning in the Lack of Critical Thinking), supervised by Head of the Department, Dr. Hazem Al-Duleimi, in the presence of several lecturers and students, given by Dr. Marwan Khalil Yousif, Dean of the College and Asst. Lec. Thamir Saad, a lecturer in the department.
The workshop aimed to discuss students’ challenges in devising meanings with poor critical thinking, focusing on the importance of developing these skills to enhance academic understanding.
