AUC attends the launch ceremony of the National Program Standards for Health and Medical Technologies

The Dean of Al-Maarif University College and Dr. Raed Obaid Saleh, Head of the Department of Medical Laboratory Technologies attended the launch ceremony of the national standards for the accreditation of the programs of colleges and institutes of
health and medical technologies On Thursday 6 th October 2022.
The ceremony was headed by Prof. Shukriya Shadhan Giyad, the President of the National Council for Accreditation of Programs of Colleges and Institutes of Health and Medical Technologies, Dean of the College of Health and Medical Technologies –
Baghdad, Associate Professor, Dr. Mayada Nuri Iqbal, The dean of Al-Maarif University College Prof. Yaqoub Nadhim Ahmed, in Al-Quds Hall at 10 o’clock. The ceremony was opened with the recitation from the Holy Quran and the reading of
Surat Al-Fatihah on the souls of the martyrs of Iraq, and the national anthem was played, then the Brigadier General delivered a speech welcoming all the attendees.
Professor Dr. Salah Hadi Al-Fatlawi also delivered a special speech on this occasion, expressing his appreciation and blessing for the efforts made in the service of technical education.
Additionally, the ceremony was under the supervision of the Minister of High Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Nabil Abdel-Saheb, and the Chair of the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority, Prof. Salah Mahdi Al-Fatlawi.
Prof. Shukriya Shadhan, in her turn, gave a speech about the beginnings of technical education and the efforts that have been made and are still being made in the field of technical education by maintaining its sobriety in all technical and health colleges and
institutes as well as using innovative means in order to achieve a brilliant future for technical education and keep abreast of scientific developments in the field of education.
The ceremony included a lecture and presentation on national program standards for health and medical technologies by Assistant Professor Dr. Hawra Natiq Kabrot, through which he clarified important points in the program standards base for health and medical technologies.
