The work of the Iraqi British Universities Forum (Iraq-Uk Higher Education Dialogue) was launched in London, with the participation of Al-Maarif University College, in the presence of Dr. Naeem Al-Aboodi, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Iraq, and Manager of Private Education, Mr. Faris Mahdi Alwan with several members of public and private universities represented by Deputy Dean for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Mahmood Abd Al-Razaq. The Minister Dr. Naeem Al-Aboodi launched the Academic Bridge Programme initiative between Iraq and the UK and handed over an official version to the British Council in London, Clarifying in his speech the possibilities of cooperation between the two countries’ universities are wide and varied in terms of joint research initiatives and academic exchange to develop education programs, particularly in the areas of medical, engineering and capacity-building, as well as to keep abreast of global academic trends. The Deputy Dean for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Mahmood Abd Al-Razaq held numerous meetings with the British Council in London through concluding several agreements, development programs, training and joint cooperation, achieving the hoped level of relationships that have an effective impact on cultural, scientific exchange and academic experience. At the end of the meeting, the Deputy Dean, Dr. Mahmood Abd Al-Razaq presented the Creative Shield of Al-Maarif University College to the President of the British Council in London.
