Objectives:
Preparing an educated generation with experience in the field of computers. Graduating students skilled in computer science in order to develop electronic devices that are specialized in computers. Graduated students should be able to design, update and develop data and software. Training staff members according to international standards.
Vision:
The Department aspires for opening branches in the fields of computer science, namely soft Engineering, Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence and Data Security. The computer science attempts also to establish a consultant office specialized in the electronic field for government and private sectors. It is aspires to establish courses for governmental employees through this office, in addition to that, the department aspires for converting the Department of Computer Science to the Department of Computer Engineering.
Mission:
Preparing a generation specialized in computer science with the ability to deal with this technology, both maintenance and operation. In addition to that, to design modern scientific programs to keep in pace with modern developments.
Alumni Description
The student is granted a bachelor’s degree (BSc) in the field of computer science via teaching the student in the fields of computer science for a period of four years to be able to keep up with all the requirements of electronic work, programming applications, designing databases, and can manage technology centers in important departments. Nevertheless, a course of study can be completed by enrolling in local or international universities to pursue a M.sc. degree program.
