The Department of Medical Device Technologies Engineering was established in the academic year 2022-2023, based on the urgent needs in Al-Anbar province. Al-Ma’arif University College took it upon itself to develop the Department of Medical Device
Technologies Engineering in the college. Based on the instructions of the Ministry of High Education and Scientific Research, the Ministry’s approval was obtained to establish the department according to the Ministry’s letter No. 13160 to accept graduates of preparatory studies (the scientific, biological, applied, and industrial) in the branches of the medical devices, electronics, control, electricity, and communications in the department according to the regulations of acceptance.
The department grants a bachelor’s degree in medical device technology engineering after four years of studying. The college has been keen to attract specialized lecturers in the sciences of electronic engineering, control, and communications who are known for their competence and scientific ability to be the staff of the department. On the other hand, the college has focused on equipping the department with devices, equipment, and necessary materials to conduct the educational process in the department correctly, in order to provide the students of the department with the required skills and prepare them for community service.
