Department of Nursing
Vision:
The Department of Nursing at Al-Maarif University College seeks to compete with the departments and colleges of nursing at the local and international levels by highlighting the quality of medical and nursing education and its reflection on graduates qualified with distinguished abilities to provide comprehensive nursing care in the field of community service in all aspects of care, whether in primary health centers or hospitals. It also seeks to be a distinguished department among its counterparts through solid scientific research that provides solutions to society’s problems according to the vision of Al-Maarif University College.
Mission:
Support health institutions with scientifically and practically qualified nursing cadres, capable of working with different medical conditions and providing high-quality effective healthcare service to improve and enhance citizen health.
Objectives:
- To prepare nursing cadres with high-quality qualified, own a high sense of responsibility to provide preventive, curative, and rehabilitative nursing services to the individual and the family.
- To address the shortage of qualified nursing staff, especially women, in the field of health services.
- To improve the reality of nursing through conducting nursing research.
- To enhance the role of the nursing staff in the institution of health.
Alumni Description
The department graduates highly competent pharmacists capable of serving their country in the health and pharmaceutical industry sectors. It is worth mentioning that the graduate has the right to work in the Ministry of Health in hospitals and specialized health centers.
