A meeting of the Private Higher Education Board, chaired by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Nabil Kadhim Abdul Sahib, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Salah Al Fatlawi, was held at Al-Nahrin University and the Major Conference Hall on Thursday, 25/2/2021 – Head of the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority, and Professor Dr. Hussein Ali Hamid, the Manager of the Department of Community University Education, Presidents and Deans of Private Universities and Colleges, who represented Al-Maarif University College at this meeting, the meeting culminates in several directions, most notably:
- Conducting scientific sobriety examinations for colleges and departments for the grades ending with colleges and departments by the twinning system for the academic year (2020 – 2021) and with two to three subjects selected by the Ministry and the university with which the twinning is held.
- Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research classifies private universities and colleges into three grades (good – medium – weak) and sets a time limit for each degree.
