On Tuesday, 17th December 2024, Rector of University of Al-Maarif, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abd Al-Malik Abd Al-Rahman, and the representative of the founding body, Mr. Ahmed Abd Al-Razaq Abd Al-Rahman, welcomed the visit of the erudite Prof. Dr. Fadhil Al-Samarra’I, one of the leading Arabic grammar scholars in an academic visit aimed at promoting scientific and cultural cooperation between the university and leading academic figures.
In his speech, Dr. Al Samarra’i emphasized the importance of Arabic as a receptacle of the cultural and civilizational identity of the Islamic nation, calling for a deeper study of language sciences and contributing to its protection from the challenges of times.
The Rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abd Al-Malik praised the visit of Dr. Samarra’i, expressing the University’s appreciation for his valuable contributions in the field of Arabic language and grammar studies, and affirming the readiness of the University to benefit from his experiences in developing its academic programmes.
