The First Championship of the swimming Tournament at University of Al-Maarif was launched between the departments of the University. Over 80 contestants participated in various events, including the tournament (free swimming, backstroke, breaststroke, and diving).
The Department of Computer Science – College of Science won first place, second place came the team of the Department of Computer Techniques Engineering – College of Engineering, and third place was the College of Pharmacy.
The competition was characterized by strong competition among contestants and their impulse to rise to the podium. Competent elements with the ability to represent the University swimming team were selected at the Iraqi University Championship.
