The team of Al-Maarif University College participated in the Iraqi Universities Championship for Chess and Table Tennis, which was held at the University of Basrah from 11th to 15th December 2022.
Regarding the participation of the lecturers of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, a technical meeting and a lottery were held for the participating teams, which numbered more than forty universities and colleges.
Al-Maarif University College team won the rounds in the table tennis championship over Al-Nisour University College and Al-Salam University College in the championship.
As for the chess team, it also two won over Al-Hikma University College and Northern Technical College in the champion league.
During the championship, Al-Maarif University College was honored with the shield of participation in the championship.
