University of Al-Maarif Held a Training Workshop on the Bologna System (Basics and Concepts)

On Thursday, 19th September 2024, the College of Engineering – Department of Medical Instrument Engineering Techniques at Al-Maarif University held a training workshop on the Bologna system (Basics and Concepts) in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit. The workshop, presented by lecturers Asst. Lec. Alaa Hamid and Asst. Lec. Mohammed Deraa provided a comprehensive explanation of the Bologna system and the powers that a college member needs. It also touched on the most important characteristics of this system and how to deal with them, in addition to the basic statistics that a lecturer needs, as well as clarifying the most important laws and controls of the Bologna path. The workshop also included studying the points and mechanisms that must be followed to implement the Bologna path, developing study plans compatible with this system, and training the teaching staff on the concepts and methods related to the system. In addition, the importance of updating current curricula to comply with the requirements of implementing the Bologna system to achieve its goals was addressed. The application of the Bologna Process was explained, which contributes to developing students’ skills, enhancing their capabilities, and qualifying them to meet the requirements of the labor market. It also stimulates active learning and increases opportunities for innovation and scientific research in all scientific departments, ensuring the success of implementing the Bologna System.
