College of Dentistry at University of Al-Maarif organized a seminar titled (Drugs and Its Influence on Individuals, Families, and Society), given by Captain Namir Sami, Manager of the Rehabilitation Centre for Drug Addicts in Anbar Province, along with Legal Consultant Marwan Mohammed Abdullah and Senior Translator Waleed Khalid Mohammed. The seminar addressed awareness aspects related to the health, psychological, and social risks of drug abuse. The speakers also highlighted the legal consequences for drug users. Additionally, they explained the procedures for admitting addicts into rehabilitation centres and the treatment programs available until full recovery is achieved. The event was held in collaboration with the Continuing Learning Center, and attended by Asst. Dr. Mohammed Abdulmunim, Assistant Dean of the College of Dentistry, and several lecturers and students from various colleges within the university.
