On Sunday, 13th July 2025, President of University of Al-Maarif, Dr. Mahmood Al-Saadi, welcomed Head of the Engineers Syndicate – Anbar Branch, Khidher Zidan, on an official visit aimed at strengthening cooperation between the Syndicate and the university, and advancing the level of engineering education in Anbar Governorate. During the meeting, the University President emphasized the University’s openness to cooperation with the Engineers Syndicate, praising its vital role in supporting professional and educational aspects. He also emphasized the university’s commitment to developing its relations with specialized institutions to contribute to the preparation of highly qualified graduates capable of meeting the demands of the labor market. Head of the Engineers Syndicate visited the College of Engineering Technology, where he was welcomed by Dr. Mustafa M. Khalaf, Dean of the College. The two sides discussed prospects for cooperation in the areas of summer training, practical applications for students, and the exchange of expertise within the framework of supporting students on the ground and developing their professional capabilities. The meeting also discussed ways to activate scientific and professional partnerships between the union and the college through joint research and training programs. This visit came to enhance the quality of academic output and increase graduates’ opportunities in the labor market, especially in light of the challenges facing Anbar Governorate, raising thr efforts of the university to strengthen its partnerships with professional and union institutions, serving the interests of students and achieving excellence in engineering education.
