The College of Science – Department of Computer Science at University of Al-Maarif held an educational awareness seminar on habits and behaviors leading to the thinking of suicide and moving away from negative thinking, in cooperation with a counselling unit, the Women’s Affairs Division and the Continuing Learning Centre.
The campaign aimed to consolidate faith values and societal principles to enhance the ability to resist suicide and other behaviours.
Dr. Ahmed Abd Al-Malik Al-Saadi, Rector of the University gave a valuable lecture through which he demonstrated the faith values from which man starts life and adheres to noble moral principles in behaviour and dealing, the Abd Al-wahid Hamid, Manager of the University’s Guidance Unit presented Positive guidance for the student’s behaviour and good thinking in the face of challenges and highlighting the true hobby of the student through the handling and exterior.
The seminar concluded with a word by the Head of the Department of Computer Science Dr. Mohammed Ismat, opening the discussion with his students and inviting them to hold future seminars and dialogues to discuss the ideas presented in their daily reality.
