The work of the Science Week between the Republic of Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Iran was initiated with the participation of more than 100 universities and institutions from the two countries, with the involvement of University of Al-Maarif. The delegation was headed by the Assistant for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Yasir Mohammed Hamood, and the Dean of College of Science, Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim.
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Naeim al-Aboodi stated that Science Week between the two countries summarizes the level of understanding and coordination resulting from the agreement between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Iraq and the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran and complements the dialogues between the two countries last year.
The delegation held numerous meetings with Iranian universities through the conclusion of agreements and twinning programmes on scientific research, exchange of students, development and training programmes and cooperation and the realization of the hoped-for level of relationships that effectively impact cultural exchange and scientific and academic experience.
