University of Al-Maarif Participated in the Quality Board of Bologna at University of Baghdad

Several lecturers of University of Al-Maarif participated in the Quality Board of Bologna which was held at University of Baghdad to promote the concept of academic quality and its applications in higher education.

The workshop was attended by the Manager of the Division of Quality Assurance and Institutional Accreditation Asst. Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Khalaf, the Administrator of the Academic Accreditation Unit Asst. Dr. Shihab Hamad Khalifa, the Quality Unit Officer Asst. Lec. Alaa Hamid, and Technical Support Unit Officer Asst. Lec. Anas Theyab.

It included several important topics, including the concept of quality within the framework of the Bologna route, how to calculate the value of the academic indicator, standard-setting and evaluation bases, and mechanisms for academic accreditation, follow-up and continuous improvement.

Quality indicator evaluation tables and measurement tools were also reviewed to enhance compliance with Bologna’s quality standards to ensure improved academic education and higher performance efficiency.

This participation came within the policy of the University’s keenness to adopt best-quality practices and academic excellence to enhance the learning experience and achieve excellence in higher education.
