Al-Maarif University College increases the scientific and educational cooperation bonds with the community by holding a Week of Al-Maarif to combat violence against women. This week is held in cooperation with the scientific departments, the Women’s Empowerment Unit, and Al-Anbar Police Directorate. On Sunday 4th of December 2022, the week was opened with an awareness seminar entitled (Reducing the phenomenon of violence against women and families).
Within the Week of Al-Maarif to combat violence against women, there will be several activities as scheduled below:
Monday 5th of December 2022:
-Workshop entitled (Empowering women is a helpful environment and a supportive culture).
Tuesday and Wednesday 6th – 7th of December 2022:
-A seminar on women’s rights in Islam
Thursday 7th of December 2022:
-Workshop entitled (women’s rights from a legal point of view)
Holding a charity bazaar for a week.
Distributing leaflets related to the campaign.
Organizing a painting exhibition.
