ِAl-Maarif University College council held its fifth session for the academic year (2020/2021) at 11 am on Sunday (13/6/2021) chaired by Dean of the College, Prof. Yaqoub Nadhim Ahmed .
At the beginning, the Head of the Council welcomed all the members of the Council.
After that, the Head of the Council presented the directives of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research to the members of the Council, and among the directives were the interest in education, the completion of the curricula during the second semester, the follow-up of electronic platforms, the dissemination of research within Scopus and Clarivate containers, and the focus on announcing scientific activities in all possible languages. The Council also discussed ways of positive and elevated cultural communication with the world, formulating understandings, agreements and memorandum of cooperation, and placing them in the crucible of the educational strategy adopted by higher education institutions in Iraq.
Then the council discussed setting the date for the final exams, and the council discussed the development of a governmental program unit.
After that, the assembly completed the topics listed on their agenda and appropriate recommendations and decisions were taken regarding them. At the end of the meeting, the members of the College Council presented the Council’s trophy and a memo of gratitude and appreciation to Dean of the College due to the efforts made to consolidate the educational process and finally, in return, the chairman of the Council thanked all attendees, expressing his deep appreciation to all of them for their useful interventions, serious discussions and efforts that resulted in the development and advancement of the College.
