Al-Maarif University College has hosted a festival honoring the pioneers of Anbar Governorate at Ahmed Radi Sports Hall, which was held by the Union of Athletic Pioneers supported by Dr. Ali Farhan, Governor of Anbar. This festival is held annually and this year Al-Maarif University College was chosen to host this festival as it has established the latest sports halls equipped with the highest specifications that can host all the various sports activities and competitions. The festival was attended by the Governor of Anbar, Dr. Ali Farhan Al-Dulaimi, Mr. Fahd Mishaan Turki Al-Rashed, a member of the Iraqi parliament, Mrs. Asma Osama Al-Ani, a member of the Iraqi parliament, and Mr. Safaa Al-Rishawi, the governor’s advisor for sports affairs, in addition to the presence of President of the Olympic Committee, Anbar, and the President of the Iraqi Federation, Anbar. Many sports delegations in government institutions, as well as the presence of pioneer athletes in Anbar Governorate, were present.
