The proceedings of the Second International Conference on Emerging Technology Trends in the Internet of Things and Computing (TIOTC 2022) started on Sunday 11th December 2022.
The conference was organized by Al-Maarif University College from 11th to 12th December 2022. Among the conference sessions, the vision of Al- Ramadi Smart City 2030 was launched, which contains a set of IOT based projects that can enhance the level of living in the city.
It is worth to mention that the conference, was approved by the AIP series at Scopus. Moreover, the total number of the received papers was 89, the accepted papers was 43, and the rejected papers was 46. Furthermore, research papers form 15 countries were submitted to the conference.
The conference was opened by a speech by the conference chair, Dean of Al-Maarif College, Prof. Ahmed Abdel-Malik Abdel-Rahman. The dean heighted the conference track which were as follows:
• The Internet of Things and Its Applications.
• Artificial Intelligence and Its Applications.
• Computer Networks and Security.
• Sustainable Engineering
• Bioinformatics
The college dean discussed the importance of the research in these tracks and praised its results on the society in general, during the current technological transformations that the world is witnessing.
It is worth to mention that three Keynote speakers were featured on this day, namely:
Prof. Dr. Andy Show, Liverpool John Moores University, UK.
Dr. Cesar Maldonado Sanin, University of Newcastle, Australia.
Dr. Alexei Lisitsa Department of Computer Science, University of Liverpool, UK.
Furthermore, the conference was attended by the president of Al-Anbar University, prof. mshtaq Talib Al-Neda, a parliament member, engineer Akram Al-Assafy, and the vice president of administrative affairs of Al-Fallujah University, the advisor of Al-Anbar governor. In addition to a number of directors of state departments, and a group of researchers and academics from Iraq, Arab, and international universities.
