On Saturday, 2nd December 2023, the Department of Financial and Banking Sciences at Al-Maarif University College held a joint scientific symposium in cooperation with University of Anbar – College of Administration and Economics entitled (International Changes between the Past and the Present and its Impact on Economic Activity). The symposium was given by Dr. Islam Mohammed Mahmood – University of Anbar – College of Administration and Economics – Department of Economics, and Dr. Mohammed Yousif, a lecturer in the Department of Finance and Banking Sciences at Al-Maarif University College. The symposium discussed the most important variables of economic activity affecting the economic market movement facing the country, stagnant inflation, economic and financial problems caused by the economic market crisis and modern methods of imposing economic control and influence on the world. Several political, cultural, environmental and technological topics and its impact on changing society’s perceptions and stereotypes were discussed. All these variables occur in the misfortune of a capitalist economic system that is adapted to events and renews itself to economic conditions.
