On Saturday 10th February 2024, the team of students of the Department of Law at Al-Maarif University College held the first arbitral hearing (Electronic Oral Argument) against the team of the University of Dohuk – College of Law, followed on Sunday, the second electronic oral argument against the college of Law team – Qatar University, for the second day in a row. The arbitral tribunal commended the performance of the students of the department the merit and understanding of the defenses submitted by them and their ability to answer the questions posed to them. This stage of the competition was preceded by the submission of the editorial regulations by the participating teams within the time approved by the competition organizer. Several Iraqi universities participated in this competition: University of Baghdad, University of Mustrasiriya, the Iraqi University, University of Mosul, University of Nahrain, University of Thi Qar, University of Diyala, University of Dohuk, University of Fallujah, University of Heritage, University of Mustrasiriya and the American University.
The participation of the Department of Law in Al-Maarif University College in this international competition is to enhance the position of the students of the Department to develop their legal capabilities, demonstrating the status of the students of the Department and the level of scientific sobriety they possess, and qualify them for international scientific competitions.
