The Department of Medical Laboratories Techniques was established in 2017-2018. The Department considers one of the medical departments that helps the medical profession by conducting medical analysis on the patient. The graduates work to analyze a variety of biological specimens and perform scientific testing on samples. The curriculum focuses on advanced qualification aspects of medical analytics techniques. The practical applied aspect is also an important part of the curriculum to provide students with scientific and practical skills that conform to international standards. The department follows the course system in the study and offers morning study.
The Department grants a bachelor’s degree after four years of studies.

The department of Medical Laboratory Techniques represents an effective way to meet the community’s needs through specialized cadres by supporting the health, research, and educational institutions, in addition to investing the energies of lecturers and students in scientific, theoretical, preliminary and higher applied research and studies, as well as training, awareness, and health and scientific mobilization within future foundations that are in line with modern developments through Acquiring highly technical and professional laboratories and harnessing them scientifically and academically according to a developed methodological perspective.

Meeting the needs of society with specialized cadres having scientific specifications and modern technical standards, and preparing those cadres to work in different research and health institutions as well as supplying the private section. Knowing that the department’s future message is obvious and high ambition, seeking to present high-quality services and develop the staff teaching and the students in the field of knowledge and scientific research, as well as serve the community and expand the scientific cooperation with similar departments and institutions with the same field.
Objectives
- To work on preparing scientific cadres specialized to work in the hospitals’ laboratories, public laboratories, and other similar institutions that serve the community.
- To develop the scientific, technical, and research abilities of the teaching staff and the graduates, keeping abreast of modern developments, and urging to use developing styles in the specialty.
- To work on developing scientific and research cooperation with similar departments in the college and other universities through participation in seminars, courses, and training workshops to develop the abilities, as well as exchange the benefits to serve the community.
- To provide scientific, technical, and research consulting to contribute to the resolution of scientific specialization and problems that some similar institutions need it.
