On Tuesday, 31st October 2023, the Department of English Language held a cultural seminar entitled (Novel’s Adaptation into Films) given by Asst. Lec. Hagir Talib Mahdi, Asst. Lec. Noor Aziz, Asst. Lec. Ban Rasheed. This seminar highlighted the concept of adopting a literary text (novel, short story, play) and introducing it into the film industry, then the film industry and the influence of literary novels in this field were addressed. Reference was made to the most famous Arab novels quoted in the field of cinema, including the five most famous Arab novels such as Najib Mahfoodh, and Yousef Al-Sabai… etc, in addition to receiving the most famous film awards
