A Brief about University of Al Maarif
University of Al Maarif was established in 1993 in Al-Anbar province according to the private universities and colleges’ law No. (13) in 1996, the recognition was documented later in the book number P.O. box 11/4042.
University of Al Maarif is the first private University in Al-Anbar province and the sixth private University in Iraq. More than twenty thousand students from all the provinces of Iraq graduated from the University and several have obtained Master and Doctoral degrees from inside and outside Iraq.
University of Al Maarif works under the direct scientific supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Iraq, and it is accredited by international universities.
The curricula approved by the University are the same as those taught in public universities. The University adopts the semester system and courses as well as the university calendar based on the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in terms of the start and end of the academic year.
University of Al Maarif has a good scientific reputation in view of the tireless work done by the College since its founding. This has been characterized by the sincerity in the educational process and the University of Al Maarif’s adherence to the outline of scientific traditions related to great scientific and civilizational achievement. This insistence on preserving the University’s educational footprint has led to an increase in the number of those who are accepted to study in the University over the past years.

University of Al Maarif seeks to disseminate science and knowledge types according to high-quality study programs to prepare trained and qualified cadres to implement the labor market requirements and be able to contribute positively to the service of their home country and society in science, economics, social, civilization, and technology.
