On Wednesday, 8th February 2023, the Dean of Al-Maarif University College Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abd Al-Malik Abd Al-Rahman participated in the meeting of the General Authority of Private Universities and Colleges in Iraq in the presence of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, Undersecretary for Scientific Research Affairs, and the Manager of Private University Education Unit.
During the meeting, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research confirmed that private universities and colleges contribute positively to the provision of educational services and its environment is linked to the requirements of community service, pointing out that it represents part of the solution and treatment of the indicator of the increase in students’ demand for higher education institutions.
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi listened to the interventions and proposals of the presidents of private universities and colleges.
The meeting concluded with a recommendation and emphasis on the optimal use of financial and human resources and increasing the percentage of spending on scientific research and educational programs so that the mission and goals of the university institution are achieved.
