Objectives and Aims

Work on preparing specialized scientific and technical cadres to work in hospital laboratories, general laboratories and other departments related to serving the community

  1. Developing the research, scientific and technical capabilities of teachers and graduates, keeping abreast with recent developments and encouraging the use of advanced methods in the field of specialization.
  2. Work to establish strong and solid scientific and research relations with the corresponding departments of the university and other universities by participating in seminars, courses and training workshops and investing them to develop capabilities as well as mutual benefit in the service of the public interest.

3. Providing scientific, technical and research consultations to contribute to solving some scientific and specialized problems that are needed by some relevant institutions.

Vision

The Department of Pathological Analysis Technologies represents the effective means to satisfy the community’s need for specialized cadres in supporting various health, research and educational institutions, in addition to investing the capacities of teachers and students in primary and higher research, scientific, theoretical and applied studies as well as training, awareness, health and scientific mobilization and within future foundations consistent with recent developments through The acquisition of highly technical and professional laboratories and their scientific and academic harnessing, according to a methodological perspective.

Mission

The Department of Pathological Analysis Technologies was opened to meet the community’s need for specialized service cadres with scientific specifications and modern technical standards, and to prepare for those cadres to work in various health and research institutions as well as supporting the private sector.

Note that the future mission of the department is clear with a high ambition and seeks to provide the best services and development of the teaching and student staff in the fields of scientific and knowledge research as well as community services and expanding horizons of scientific cooperation with the corresponding departments and related institutions.

Description of Graduate Student

The period of study in the department is four years, after which the student graduates and holds a bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory technology (medical laboratory technician).

– Providing medical technical staff with a level comparable to that in developed countries capable of working in medical laboratories, state institutions, the private sector and research centers related to bacteriology, immunology, clinical biochemistry, parasitology, histopathology and hematology.

Central appointment to graduates of the department in the health departments.
