On Monday, 27th November 2023, the Department of Dentistry, and the Department of Medical Laboratories Techniques at Al-Maarif University College held a joint scientific seminar entitled (The Relationship between Insulin Resistance and Dental Decay). The seminar was given by Dr. Hasan Falah Lahij, student Shireen Qais Kamil from the Department of Medical Laboratories Techniques, Aws Al-Anezy – a Dental Technician, and student Dima Athob from the Department of Dentistry. It was explained the importance of the relationship between insulin levels and the body’s resistance to it, and its impact on the body was discussed through the occurrence of tooth decay. The seminar was attended by Head of the Dental Department, the Rapporteur of the Department, and several lecturers and students from both departments.
