On March 6th, 2024, coinciding with the sixtieth anniversary of the founding of the Association of Arab Universities, Al-Maarif University College had the honor of hosting esteemed guests from the Association at the College’s Deanship. Notable attendees included Dr. Walid Salama, Advisor to the Association of Arab Universities and representative from the University of Princess Sumaya, Jordan; Dr. Bashir Samaha, President of the Union of Russian Universities and affiliate of Lomonosov Moscow State University; and Dr. Hala El Menoufy, Dean of the College of Dentistry at the University of Misr for Science and Technology, Egypt. The occasion was marked by the conduct of workshops focusing on the integration of artificial intelligence in educational sectors, led by Dr. Walid Salama, and the opportunities for scholarships offered by Russian universities, presented by Dr. Bashir Samaha. Praise was extended by the members of the Association of Arab Universities for the significant efforts undertaken by the College’s Deanship towards enhancing the infrastructure of Arab education and fostering collaborative endeavors to address forthcoming educational challenges. This visit signifies the Deanship’s ongoing commitment to fostering openness and collaboration with a spectrum of educational institutions on a local, Arab, and international level. The initiative underscores the College’s ambition to achieve global recognition for its educational outputs, including student achievements and research, through the creation of the Arab Education Zone. This endeavor aims to broaden the scope of collaborative efforts among international universities, thereby enriching the educational landscape.
