AUC Participated in the Panel Discussion on Institutional and Programmatic Accreditation

On Thursday, 22nd February 2024, Al-Maarif University College represented by the Manager of Quality Assurance and Academic Performance Unit Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Khalaf, and the Manager of Human Resources, Asst. Lec. Sanabil Sa’di participated in the panel discussion (Academic Accreditation and International Standards in Educational Institutions). The discussion was given by Prof. Khalil Ibrahim Mahmood, a member of the National Council for Institutional Accreditation in Iraq and an expert in quality and academic accreditation at the American University. The seminar discussed several topics, the most important of which are international standards (ISO) and their role in improving the quality of education and the management of institutions, which contribute to the development of the curriculum and ensure the quality of educational services. It also contributes to effective communication and improvements in the organization’s overall management, enhancing excellence and continuous improvement. The Academic Accreditation topic was presented at the institutional and programmatic levels and explained the organizational steps through which universities and departments can obtain accreditation after passing the required procedures of self-assessment report, improvement plan, matching report and resident review, and how the internal and external environment is analyzed to achieve the highest quality standards in universities. The panel discussion was presented in the presence of several managers and employees of Quality Assurance and Academic performance in public and civil universities and colleges.
