Several students from the Department of Medical Laboratory Techniques – the fourth stage at Al-Maarif University College, made a scientific visit to Al-Fallujah Hospital – Blood Bank and Division of laboratories, supervised by Dr. Mohammed Yassin Issa – lecturer of Blood Transfusion at the department.
Dr. Iyad Hussein Nida – the manager of the hospital and the officials of the blood bank branches, Qasim Younis Jassem, Yasser Shalal Farhan, Nafeا Yassin Ibrahim, and Noor-Eddine Essam Abdullah welcomed the students in the hospital, through whom the students learned about the complete mechanism of blood transfusion from donors to the needy patients, as well as conducting virus detection tests using advanced equipment. The manager of the hospital Dr. Iyad Hussein Nida praised the high levels of students and their willingness to supply healthy sections in the future.
This scientific visit came through the principle of cooperation between Al-Maarif University College and other governmental institutions. It is worth mentioning that this scientific visit will be continuous to include all the students of the department to fully acquaint them with the mechanism of blood transfusion.
