On Monday, 11th of December 2023, the Unit of Empowerment of Women at Al-Maarif University College held a symposium entitled (Violence against Women and Its Impact on the Demolition of Society), which was given by the Manager of Community Police of Anbar Governorate, and several lecturers from the College. The symposium included educational discussions about the impact of violence against women on the demolition of society, the harm to its members, and how this negative phenomenon is addressed. The symposium was held by the Unit of Empowerment of Women in cooperation with the community police, the Department of Medical Laboratories Techniques, and the Department of Computer Science at the College to educate students about the role of community policing in assisting battered women in a non-violent society.
