On Monday, 26th December 2022, a group of lecturers from the Department of Banking and Financial Sciences at Al-Maarif University College distributed an awareness brochures entitled (Usurious Transactions in the Islamic Economy).
This activity came as part of the educational activities carried out by the Department, in cooperation with the Continuing Learning Unit at the college.
The brochure was distributed by the following lecturers:
1- Asst. Lec. Omar Khalil Ibrahim.
2- Assist. Dr. Abdul Razzaq Shabeeb.
3- Asst. Lec. Ahmed Obaid.
The participated students are:

2- Majid Hameed
3- Ziyad Mohammed
The aim of the activity was to educate the students on the concept of usury, the evidence for its prohibition, and the alternatives of usury in Islam
