The Board of Al-Maarif University College held its fifth session for the academic year 2021/2022, on Tuesday 5 th April 2022 in the board meeting room headed by the Dean of the College Professor Dr. Yaqoub Nadhim Ahmed.
In the beginning, the chair of the meeting welcomed all members of the meeting. The dean started the session by presenting the directives of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Nabil Kadhim Abdel-Sahib, which include the establishment of several new scientific departments in private universities and colleges and the suspension of some specializations that are not suitable for the labor market.
The chair of the meeting emphasized that the members of the board meeting must abide by these directives and implement what is stated therein and according to their powers. The board meeting also approved the results of the first course exams for the scientific departments (Department of Pharmacy, Financial and Banking Sciences, Department of Computer Science, and Department of Nursing).
Then the assembled gentlemen discussed the issues included in the agenda of the session, including approval of the promotion of several college lecturers to obtain the scientific title of lecturer and assistant lecturer.
The board meeting also discussed the establishment of the Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Unit, the formation of committees for the Iraqi classification of universities, and the exemption of several needy students and those with limited income, and decisions and recommendations were taken in this regard.
At the end of the session, the Dean of the College expressed his thanks and appreciation to all members of the meeting for their presence and serious discussions that contributed to the maturation of the decisions and recommendations that were taken in the session.
