The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Nabil Kadhim Abdel-Sahib, announced the establishment of several new scientific departments in private universities and colleges and the suspension of some specializations unsuitable for the labor market.
This came when he chaired a meeting of the General Authority of Private Universities and Colleges, in the presence of the advisor of the ministry, the head of the supervision and scientific evaluation apparatus, several advanced staff, the manager of the private university education section, as well as university presidents and deans of private colleges.
The meeting was held in the Ministry building on Monday, 4 th April 2022, and was attended by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Yaqoub Nadhim Ahmed.
