On Monday, 16th November 2023, the Department of Sports Science at Al-Maarif University College held a scientific seminar entitled (The Role of Youth and Sports Institutions in the Promotion of Sports Realities), which was held by Dr. Muneer Abd Allah, Asst. Lec. Muhannad Faisal Hamadi, Dr. Yassir Mohamed Hamud, and Ali Shakir Mahmood. The seminar included an interest in providing cultural, scientific, artistic and sporting opportunities for members of society to reveal their energies, possibilities and aspirations to reach the highest levels of science that serve society. The role of young sports institutions such as sports clubs, youth centres and university and school sports alike resulted in the reluctance of many young people and girls from all age groups to exercise and engage in sports. This seminar came as part of the activities of the College in International Entrepreneurship Week, in cooperation with the Directorate of Youth and Sport in Anbar Governorate, and the Continuing Learning Unit.
